Ancient Japanese culture believed matcha to be a gift from the heavens, and I agree. Matcha is made from finely ground shade grown tea leaves that is full of chlorophyll which gives it the vibrabt green color. It's full of antioxidants, and a great way to get your caffiene without the jitters coffee can bring.
If you've never made it, a matcha whisk makes it much easier.
To prepare, place a small amount in a round bottom vessel (easiest made in a bowl) and whisk in a small amount of milk of your choice until smooth, add to your cup with remianing milk and enjoy hot or iced. My favorite way to enjoy it is with almond milk and lavender syrup over ice. So delicious. A healthy and tasty alternative to coffee.
Available in 1 or 2 ounce brown glass jars as protection from light keeps the vibrant green color. Store in your fridge to preserve freshness.
